Hello! I just discovered your forums in the search for a good AMV converter.
I have an MP3/4 player I purchased in March out of my productivity pay, and the firmware says this:
LG MP3 PLAYER
BKS25002
CM70038
2007/12/04
ACT_V9.1.52
I has an FM radio aside from a recorder function and MP3/WAV player. It has 1GB of memory. I decided to eschew the stock headset for a A4TECH headset with neodymium driver (like the one used for PSPs).
Oddly, it works just fine, but when I dumped the firmware using the s1wfx extracting utility, I also found out two errors pertaining to the firmware and the flash size, that the system cannot read from the specific device. Also, when I use Win98 to load MP3 files, it generates a write error and cannot save to disk. Something not visible with WinXP.
Is it compatible with the themes available on the forum? Especially that iPod look-alike theme.
Thank you for taking a look!
Hi kenshinflyer,
You will have problems in Windows 98 if you havent installed the correct drivers. If you get "write errors" then it might be a result of bad memory blocks on the memory chip or a case of a HACKED PLAYER (where the seller has hacked it to show more memory than it currently has installed physically).
You have a 9.1.52 version firmware which currently makes it very difficult to modify. The only tool available at the moment for modifying 9.x.x firmwares is the s1res tool which unfortunately wont detect all firmware versions and types.
Try downloading it from our [Downloads] --> [Tools] section on the left hand side menu bar to see if it works.
